EPL

The Eclipse Public License (EPL) is a license developed by the Eclipse Foundation for its software, including the Eclipse development tools. The license is similar to, and based on the Common Public License, but removes some terms relating to patent litigation.

The EPL was designed as a business-friendly free software license and includes weaker copyleft provisions than the GPL. Because of the differences over patents, and copyleft, the EPL is incompatible with the GPL.
