Apple Public Source License

The Apple Public Software License ("APSL") is a FLOSS license created by Apple and under which Apple's Darwin operating system is distributed.

The first version of the APSL was approved by the Open Source Initiative as meeting their Open Source Definition, but the Free Software Foundation had a number of objections to early versions of the license.
With the 2.0 revision of the APSL, the Free Software Foundation has now approved of the license, but continues to recommend against the license's use for new projects on the basis that it is incompatible with the GPL, that it is not a copyleft license, and that it allows linking with proprietary software.
