CDDL

The Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL) is a license developed by Sun Microsystems, and based on the Mozilla Public License. The license has been approved by the Open Source Initiative as being compliant with their Open Source Definition, and by the Free Software Foundation. The license superseded Sun's earlier SPL license, and is, according to some reports, regarded by Sun as being the SPL version 2.

The CDDL is incompatible with the GPL, but nevertheless has become quite popular. Software licensed under the CDDL includes, for example, OpenSolaris.
